SERVICES
Fatherhood Program
CFG strategically works with fathers in an attempt to assist them in developing or establishing positive relationships with their children. The goal of this program is to work with fathers in order to achieve permanency with their children. In the past 8 months CFG has had approximately 5 foster children reunited with their fathers for permanent placement.
Intensive Family Visitation Program
Previously when a child entered foster care, they were allotted 2 visits per month with their family at 2 hour intervals at the DFCS office. CFG has a home like setting in which families are able to visit their children in a less restrictive environment. They are able to visit with their children 2 times per week at 2 hour intervals. This expedites permanency and has resulted in a high increase of reunification rates.
Transportation
CFG is aware of the struggle transportation can be in rural Georgia. Therefore, CFG provides transportation services for their clients. Transportation should not be a barrier to reunification or permanency efforts.
Crisis Intervention
CFG therapists provide an immediate service to stabilize a volatile family situation. These services include responding to the behavior of a child which could ultimately result in the child's placement being disrupted and/or the child being at risk of (re)entering foster care.
