Child and Family Guidance, Inc. (CFG) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was incorporated on January 16, 2014. We are currently contracted with the Department of Human Services (DHS) to provide intensive in-home based services to children who are at risk of child abuse/neglect or have been removed from their home due to child abuse/neglect.
We have two office locations that serve Central and South Georgia. Our contracts with DHS include the following services: Homestead Services, Parent Aide Services, Early Intervention Services, Wrap Around Services, Drug Screening Services, Prevention of Unnecessary Services (PUP), and Comprehensive Child and Family Assessments.
Child and Family Guidance, Inc. also has an Intensive Family Visitation Program. This program allows families to have increased supervised visitation in order to expedite permanency decisions in a home like setting. The goals of this program include the following target areas: Nurturance, Basic Care, Developmental Stimulation, Safety/Protection, and Discipline/Limit Setting.
Child and Family Guidance, Inc. was also awarded a federal grant under Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF). This grant is for Time Limited Reunification Services and will be used to support our Intensive Family Visitation Program. The outcome expected from these services is to enhance a caregiver’s protective capacities, expedite permanency, ensure the safety and well being of children, and decrease the foster care reentry rate.
